Seriously, some people just don’t know when to shut up. Go away, gather yourself and have people wonder where you are. Look at Britney Spears, she may actually be respected again.

April 17, 2008 — TEMPER-tantrum twit Naomi Campbell, who’s not known for having a good relationship with the truth, is making things up again. Campbell, banned from British Airways flights after she allegedly spat at a cop over missing luggage at Heathrow, claims airline officials have pleaded with her to fly with them again, but she’s refused because of their “complete disrespect for passengers.” (NYP) Yeah Naomi - go away!
- Speaking of annoying people, Kimora Lees’ show “Life in the fab lane” premiers on Sunday. Stay tuned for more words like “Fabulosity” and the “fabulousness” of Kimora. Click for her schedule (mystyle)
- One more annoying person - I personally don’t get the hit that is “The Hills” but I certainly enjoyed the Fug girls’ take on Heidi Montags’ clothing line . Here’s an excerpt -
“It was bad. So bad. To Montag’s credit, she trumpets Heidiwood’s prices of $10 to $60 for any given item — compared to the triple-digit tags on L.C.’s line, that’s a sure sign that she at least she understands her demographic. And yet everything we saw still gave us sticker shock. Paper-thin tanks for $27? Flimsy, panty-line-molesting dresses at nearly 40 bucks? “ (NYMAG)
Can’t we send these people to Zimbabwe? No, I guess it would be too much for the Zimbabwean people, they already have to deal with their own pain in the ass Robert Mugabe.

One of my favorite bloggers ever! Kathleen Fasanella. I admire anyone who gets technical with their work and understands the meat and bones of what they do.
I love fashion but there are so many facets of it that fascinate me. I like the shoes, the bags and all but being in retail, the nuances of this business are mindboggling. I learn something new everyday and everyday, humans never fail to dissappoint and also impress.
As Kathleen puts it, the people who succeed in this business are analytical people - the engineers, the nurses, the attorneys, the scientists not necessarily the creative ones.
Back to Kathleen, she address issues such as shrinkage to a startup, why it is fatal. Custom orders, Manufacturing in New York etc. In short, I think she is brilliant. Read on:
writes Kathleen “On the question of how and who can start a clothing line, comes this from my mail: I’m a young wanna-be entrepreneur based in Hong Kong. A friend and I are looking to go into the fashion business. We have some great ideas and I think we have a pretty good concept that will be a hit with consumers. However, we have no experience in Fashion Design per se. We also know little about manufacturing clothes, but manufacturers are really easy to get in contact with in Hong Kong. We’re planning to start a new upper-middle class brand, casual and comfortable that will appeal to the growing Asian middle-class. We want to design our own products and then hopefully outsource the manufacturing to somewhere in China. We won’t be producing our own products (i.e. as real fashion designers do, with a sewing machine). We intend for our products to be relatively simple print t-shirts and polo shirts and things like that.
What we’re hoping to do is link up with someone who has some fashion design background and work together on making our dreams become a reality. One thing we do have is some money that we are willing to invest in the business. I have two questions:” (Read the entire story at Fashion Incubator)
If you are serious about getting into fashion, Kathleens’ books are a must read. I wish I had before I started. Now I recognize the pitfalls - a little.

Coming this Mother’s Day: A children’s book called My Beautiful Mommy that explains to kids they should be happy about Mommy’s plastic surgery because in the end she’ll look more beautiful and feel better about herself.

This is so wrong. I am screaming in my head. Aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!
Dr. Michael Salzhauer, a renowned plastic surgeon, wrote My Beautiful Mommy to help patients explain their transformation to their children. The story guides children through Mommy’s surgery and healing process in a friendly, nonthreatening way. (feministing)
