Metallic is the rage at SATC premiere in New York.

Posted by v on May 28, 2008

Nobody told us metallica was all the rage. Most of the stars of SATC shimmered and sashayed their way into metallic dresses which to us kinda gets a little much on the eyes after a while. Did they not consult each other on what they were wearing? The exception was Cynthia Nixon who kept it muted in a cream Narcisco Rodriguez dress - thank you!. Our hands down favorite was Jennifer Hudson,  who looked like she was going to have a wardrobe malfunction any moment now.

Go Jen, flaunt those curves. Aren’t you sick of the nauseous hype of the movie. Enough already! Its like “Are we there yet??”.

Patricia Fields and Candace Bushnell

Did you guys all not talk to each other?

Kristin Davis

Maybe they were all subconsciously thinking of the color of money.

Mr & Mrs. Sarah Jessica Parker

Well. we give this trend an “F”. Doesn’t do much for most people except be shiny and flashy.

China boycotts Sharon Stone for stupid comments.

Posted by v on May 28, 2008

When Hollywood actors and actresses etc realize they are not paid to be smart or political. They are paid to act, to be thin and shut up. Its like, well, I am an actor now, so I can tell everyone my opinions and  discuss world politics. I can tell  everyone who to vote for and I can hypothesize about the reasons why earthquakes occur. They are not due to geological reasons but bad karma.

Enter Sharon Stone- Film star Sharon Stone has set off a storm of fury across China after she suggested the deadly earthquake that killed as many as 80,000 people was bad karma for Beijing policy in Tibet.

Several Chinese cinemas have pledged not to screen her movies and the Internet has exploded in a stream of angry comments.

Ms Stone, speaking at the Cannes Film Festival last week, said: “I’m not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don’t think anyone should be unkind to anyone else.”

Answering questions on the red carpet, she revived memories of the international outrage that followed a Chinese decision to send in troops and the paramilitary to restore order to swathes of Tibetan China after Tibetans rampaged through Lhasa on March 14, killing at least 18 people.

She said: “I’ve been concerned about how we should deal with the Olympics, because they are not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who is a good friend of mine. And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma – when you’re not nice that the bad things happen to you?” Oh, Sharon, you are so smart. How profound!!!! Be nice! China. and you won’t get any more earthquakes.

And Sharon, how did you get famous after your endless years of bad Pepsi commercials? Oh yeah, you crossed and uncrossed your legs without wearing underwear. Oh, then you did it again 20 years later and people said” Get Lost” we don’t want to see it again. Yeah, that’s what happened to you.

Why was she in Cannes, anyway? Isn’t she done as an actress?

The Chinese public relations company acting for cosmetic and couture house Christian Dior – which uses Ms Stone extensively in its advertisements – had distanced itself from her remarks, the newspaper said. Dior boutiques in major Beijing department stores had removed images of Ms Stone in advertisements by yesterday evening.

Our own opinion - Dump her!!!

Thousands of Internet users have posted criticisms on line. Many have urged a boycott of products with which Ms Stone is said to be associated – ranging from Guerlain to Ebel.

UPDATE: Dior removes Sharon Stones’ images
