In the pictures, she resembles French actress Catherine Deneuve which is strange because  we have never seen Kate Winslet as having any Deneuvian qualities.

Londons’ Daily Mail employed the services of professional airbrush artist Chris Bickmore who believes the pictures were doctored wholesale. Here he outlines the areas that he thinks have been upgraded.

A spokesman for the magazine said: ‘Kate really did look fabulous and hardly needed any retouching at all. Just a little smoothing of the skin tone and covering of blemishes. There was no change in the body shape. She really does look that hot.’

The 33-year-old is currently promoting her new film, 50s-set Revolutionary Road – directed by her husband Sam Mendes – in which she reprises her chemistry with her former Titanic co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio. Hopefully, that does better than “Body of Lies”.
