Viviers Cut-Up Bag

Viviers Cut-Up Bag - Would you???

Roger Vivier and Ines de la Fressange think they have it all in the bag.

Has Ines de la Fressange been hanging out too long at the Home Shopping Network??

Customers can select either a black, purple or gray base color for the bag.

Then they can add cutout letters or numbers in myriad colors and fonts to emblazon the bag with a name or message.
“Real luxury is a unique item that is yours and yours only, that cannot be duplicated or copied,” said de la Fressange.
“You pick the color of the bag, then letters, font and symbols. It’s great for men who have no idea what gift to give — and in a world where everyone has the same thing, it’s good to know you’re the only one who has it.”
The Cut Up Bag is available by special order at Roger Vivier boutiques and retails for $1,875.

No offense, Mr. Vivier, we’ll pass. Very quickly.

Have you seen what is out there in handbag options? This one , while we are sure is made of perfectly luxurious leather, is just  …..!!! (You fill in your word) (WWD)

CACHAREL OPTS OUT OF PARIS FASHION WEEK:

It’s not just New York Designers feeling the pinch of the economy. Designers Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto of Cacharel has also opted out of Paris Fashion Week . Marni and Valentino are changing the format of presenting their men’s collections.

NOT THIS YEAR, DEAR:…

Donna Karan joins the list of those putting off the celebrations. Karan explained that, with government agencies slashing budgets, philanthropy is becoming more important to her than ever. “Nobody else is going to do these things,” she said. Aaaah, Yes!(WWD)

A LOOK BACK AT FASHION IN 2008:

Credit-crunch chic; Credit crashion; Recessionista; Bargainista; Chic-onomics, words we must never hear again. Will fashion ever sober up because of the economy or is it just a slight crimp in its style? From Sex and the city, which had women in droves to the movies, to the sad closure of many retail giants, 2008 will remain an eventful year in Fashion. Review what the best trends (Black lace as seen in Prada’s a/w collection ) and the worst (baby high heels) were in fashion in 2008. (Telegraph)

WOOLWORTHS ENGLAND TO CLOSE: This is just really sad and shameful. I think I bought and paid for my first set of independent underwear here.

ON THE “WE HOPE IT’S THE LAST TIME WE TALK ABOUT THIS LIST”:

Jennifer Aniston seems to have mastered the art of stretching one moment of infamy to twenty hours. She was on Letterman last night giving her GQ cover tie to Letetrman. We hope he wanted it.

After handing over the gift-wrapped tie, which she wore to cover her modesty in the photo shoot, Letterman proceeded to try it on - with a little helping hand from Jen. Watch here

‘Oh this is exciting - I’m dressing Dave! That’s a historic moment in my career,’ she joked.

VICTORIA BECKHAM - FROM FASHION ZERO TO FASHION HERO?:

Lest we forget, it took Vctoria Beckham all of 10 years to become a fashion icon. Pouting Lips and all. Hadley Freeman looks at the remarkable re-invention of the woman formerly known as Posh Spice or was it Trailer Spice. (Guardian UK)

DO YOU CARE IF J’LO’S MARRIAGE IS IN A CRISIS?:

No, we didn’t think so. The singer – who has been married twice before and gave birth to twins ten months ago – was spotted without her wedding ring at the LA premiere of Brad Pitt’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last week.
Meanwhile, her Latin husband Marc Anthony was also without his wedding ring while reportedly chatting to women in New York and Las Vegas nightclubs. (Marie Claire)
