Barneys Japan to Open in Kobe
TOKYO — Barneys Japan is preparing to open a store in the port city of Kobe in spring 2010 in the first step in a renewed expansion program.
FERETTI OPENS IN LA
ALBERTA FERRETTI’s new store concept is an international affair; it has been developed for the Italian design house by a London-based architectural firm, Sybarite Architects, and will be unveiled in LA in late summer.
The concept behind the new 4,500-square-foot US flagship, which will be located at 8626 Melrose Avenue, is “transparent and light” - think perspex panels inlayed with stainless steel swirls, cement flooring and lacquered petals and mannequins that appear to “sprout from the floor” in typically elegant Ferretti fashion.
The boutique will house the Alberta Ferretti collection, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, accessories, footwear and Alberta Ferretti Girl - all in its unique new display system of magnetic hangers and shelves on steel panels. (vOGUE UK)
